Edward Acker is a Financial Advisor with PARAGON Wealth Strategies, LLC. Ed is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional with nearly a decade of experience in financial services including banking, retirement planning and tax preparation. Ed is dedicated to acquiring the necessary skills and knowledge to help clients achieve financial success through a comprehensive planning approach. As such, he has achieved the Enrolled Agent, EA, designation through the IRS, which authorizes both tax preparation, as well as tax planning, on behalf of clients.
Prior to joining PARAGON, Ed worked as a Certified Financial Counselor for the Army Reserve Survivor Outreach Services program at Fort McCoy, Wisconsin, helping survivors and families of deceased military members by providing financial counseling during very difficult times. This experience allowed Ed to gain insights and deep knowledge on military and government benefits, as well as the critical steps families must take in order to be prepared for the death of a loved one.
Ed earned his Bachelor of Science from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh and completed the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ curriculum University of South Florida. In his spare time, Ed enjoys spending time with his girlfriend, watching sports and boating.
