Mr. Castle graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point and served as an officer in the U.S. Army until he entered the financial services industry in 1995. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and holds the Chartered Financial Consultant Designation. He specializes in retirement planning, estate planning, retirement plan and IRA rollover and Roth conversion strategies, and multigenerational wealth transfer techniques for high net worth clients and retiring business owners. Jon was the author of the Community Column “WealthGuards” for the Florida Times-Union, the co-host of the popular call-in financial talk radio show, “Financial Feud,” and teaches comprehensive retirement planning courses held at University of North Florida. He has also been a frequent guest lecturer on wealth preservation topics at the Florida Coastal School of Law and on business aspects of the financial industry at large at the University of North Florida.
Jon is a Master Mason in the Virginia Masonic Lodge and a member of Rotary International, NAPFA, and the Financial Planning Association (FPA). He grew up in Virginia, is married, and has two children, Jared and Maria. In his free time, Jon enjoys activities with his children, staying fit, reading, and is an avid (but not particularly skilled) golfer.
